CYBERJURA: The Combat Brotherhood of Youth

In order to create a common information environment and organize a space for improving interaction and increasing capabilities to counter challenges and security threats in the context of the formation of information products relevant to the international combat fraternity: websites, video content, etc., the Department of International Defenсe Cooperation of the Ministry of Defenсe of Ukraine, on behalf ofthe leadership of the International Academy of GeoInformation (Network public organization), has the honor to announce the initiative regarding the joint participation of youth, representatives of NATO member states, in the project of the command and staff game format – “Cyberjura: the combat brotherhood of youth". This project was initiated to improve the pre-conscription training of young people in military-technical cybernetics specialties in the interests of the Armed Forces.

Within the framework of the initiative of the network public organization "International Academy of Geoinformatics" on the development of the children's and youth military-patriotic command and staff game "Cyberjura" and the creation of a national system of pre-conscription training of young people to fight in cyberspace in the mode of international exercises "Cyberjura: The Combat Brotherhood of Youth", a pilot trilateral (Ukrainian-Polish-Lithuanian) international project "Traditions of Combat Brotherhood: Since Times of Hetman Petro Konashevych-Sahaidachnyi and Jan Karol Chodkiewicz – Up to Nowadays" was launched.

The project will be implemented on the basis of the trilateral Cooperation Agreement between the Kruty Heroes Lviv Lyceum with Intensive Military and Physical Training (Ukraine), General Povilas Plechavičius Cadet Lyceum (Lithuania), and the Hussar Main Military School in Wroclaw (Republic of Poland), signed on June 10, 2023 during the visit of delegations from Lithuanian and Polish educational institutions at the graduation ceremony of Kruty Heroes Lviv Lyceum.

The project participants will be pedagogical staff and students (cadets) of all three partner institutions who will jointly conduct research work in national archival and source databases on the biographies of historical figures of hetmans Petro Konashevych-Sahaidachnyi and Jan Karol Chodkiewicz and joint combat operations of Ukrainian (Cossack) and Polish-Lithuanian troops under their command in Moscow (1618) and Khotyn (1621) military campaigns. 

The participants will implement the results of the research work in the form of a multilingual online resource on the basis of interactive maps-stories by ArcGIS StoryMaps app. The idea of creating similar international projects and their technological basis using applications of the ArcGIS Online platform were tested during work on the 2021 bilateral international (Ukrainian-Lithuanian) project dedicated to the biography and activities of Colonel Evgen Konovalets #EK_UA_LT: https://sites.google.com/view/ekualt/english.

At the same time, the first ideas and plans for work on the project about joint military actions and viсtories during the period of the inclusion of Ukrainian lands in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth were formed, in particular, regarding the joint campaigns of such outstanding historical figures and commanders as Jan Karol Сhodkievicz and Petro Konashevych Sahaidachnyi, who carried out a successful campaign on Moscow in 1618, and in the Battle of Khotyn in 1621 jointly defeated the overwhelming forces of the Turks and Tatars, and forced the Ottoman Empire to abandon its plans to conquer Europe. 

The Ukrainian part of the project has already begun to be implemented by the Lviv’s Jura-Cyborg Krutyany team at the national level: at the initiative of the International Academy of Geoinformatics - in the spring of 2023, as part of the command and staff game 'Cyberjura', Ukrainian lyceum students prepared the project 'Hetman's Tryzna of Petro Sahaidachny and the Commandment of Combat Brotherhood' using geoinformation technologies based on ArcGIS StoryMaps software and with the prospect of developing and transforming this project into an international one. 

Therefore, it is no coincidence that with the signing of a trilateral agreement on cooperation between Ukrainian, Lithuanian and Polish educational institutions of general secondary education of military profile, the first practical step of this cooperation was the involvement of all three parties in this project, which will provide for research and research work of students in the field of history and geography of our countries, technological implementation of research results in the most modern computer technologies, acquisition of skills in working with electronic maps and geographic information systems, which will undoubtedly be needed by young people as future professionals in the field of security and defense. 

The presentation of the project concept took place on June 10, 2023.

 

The next steps (during September-December 2023) will be: 

• formation of project teams (September); 
• meetings (face-to-face and online) with representatives of national expert environments – historians-researchers on the topic of the project (September-October); 
• online sessions of joint work of lyceum students and cadets on the project (September-December);
• presentation of the finished project (the proposed deadline is December 2023, to the 405th anniversary of the Truce of Deulino 1618, according to which the lands of Chernihiv, Novgorod-Siversk and Smolensk regions seized earlier by Russians returned to the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth).

Кіберджура: бойове братерство молоді 

У рамках ініціативи мережевої громадської організації «Міжнародна академія геоінформатики» щодо розвитку дитячо-юнацької військово-патріотичної командно-штабної гри «Кіберджура» та створення національної системи допризовної підготовки молоді до боротьби в кіберпросторі в режимі міжнародних навчань «Кіберджура: бойове братерство молоді», започатковано пілотний тристоронній (українсько-польсько-литовський) міжнародний проєкт «Традиції бойового братерства: від часів гетьманів Петра Конашевича-Сагайдачного та Яна Кароля Ходкевича – до наших днів».

Реалізація проєкту відбуватиметься на основі тристоронньої Угоди про співпрацю між Львівським ліцеєм з посиленою військово-фізичною підготовкою імені Героїв Крут (Україна), Кадетським ліцеєм імені генерала Повіласа Плехавічюса (Литовська Республіка), та Головною військовою середньою школою «Гусар» у Вроцлаві (Республіка Польща), підписаної 10 червня 2023 року під час перебування делегацій литовського і польського навчальних закладів на урочистостях з нагоди випуску ліцеїстів ліцею імені Героїв Крут. 

Учасниками проєкту будуть педагогічні працівники і учні (ліцеїсти, кадети) усіх трьох закладів-партнерів, які спільно проведуть пошуково-дослідницьку роботу в національних архівно-джерельних базах стосовно життєписів історичних постатей гетьманів Петра Конашевича-сагайдачного і Яна Кароля Ходкевича та спільних бойових дій українських (козацьких) та польсько-литовських військ під їх командуванням у московській (1618 р.) та хотинській (1621 р.) воєнних кампаніях. 

Результати дослідницько-пошукової роботи учасники втілюватимуть у формі багатомовного інтернет-ресурсу на основні інтерактивних карт-розповідей ArcGIS StoryMaps. Ідея створення подібних міжнародних проєктів і їх технологічна основа з використанням додатків платформи ArcGIS Online пройшли апробацію протягом 2021 року під час роботи над двостороннім міжнародним (українсько-литовським) проєктом, присвяченим життєпису і діяльності полковника Євгена Коновальця #EK_UA_LT: https://sites.google.com/view/ekualt/english. 

Тоді ж звилися перші ідеї і плани роботи над проєктом про спільні бойові дії та звитяги періоду входження українських земель до складу Великого Князівства Литовського і Речі Посполитої, зокрема стосовно спільних походів таких видатних історичних постатей і полководців як Ян Кароль Ходкевича та Петро Конашевич Сагайдачний, які здійснили успішний похід на Москву 1618 року, а в Хотинській битві 1621 року спільно завдали поразки переважаючим об'єднаним силам турків і татар, та змусили Османську імперію відмовитись від задумів завоювання Європи. 

Українська частина проєкту вже почала реалізовуватися силами команди «Джура-Кіборг КРУТЯНИ» на національному рівні з ініціативи Міжнародної академії геоінформатики - навесні 2023 року у рамках Командно-штабної гри "Кіберджура" наші ліцеїсти підготували проєкт "Гетьманська тризна Петра Сагайдачного і заповіді бойового братерства" з використанням геоінформаційних технологій на базі програмного забезпечення ArcGIS StoryMaps та з перспективою розвитку і перетворення даного проєкту у міжнародний. 

Тому не випадково, з підписанням тристоронньої угоди про співпрацю між українським, литовським і польським навчальними закладами загальної середньої освіти військового профілю, першим практичним кроком цієї співпраці стало залучення усіх трьох сторін до цього проєкту, який передбачатиме дослідницько-пошукову роботу учнів в царині історії і географії наших держав, технологічне втілення результатів досліджень в найсучасніших комп'ютерних технологіях, набуття навичок роботи з електронними картами та геоінформаційними системами, що безперечно знадобиться молодим людям як майбутнім професіоналам у сфері безпеки і оборони.

Презентація концепції проєкту відбулась 10 червня 2023 року. 

Наступні кроки (протягом вересня-грудня 2023 р.):

• формування проєктних команд (вересень); 
• зустрічі (очні і онлайн) з представниками національних експертних середовищ – істориками-дослідниками за темою проєкту (вересень-жовтень); 
• онлайн-сесії спільної роботи ліцеїстів і кадетів над проєктом (вересень-грудень); 
• презентація готового проєкту (пропонований дедлайн – грудень 2023 року, до 405-ї річниці Деулінського перемир’я 1618 року, за яким загарбані раніше московитами землі Чернігівщини, Новгород-Сіверщини і Смоленщини повершулися до складу Речі Посполитої).
